Psychological Assessments at Spectrum
Spectrum provides psychological assessments for children and adults. Evaluations may be appropriate when there are questions related to autism, ADHD, learning differences, giftedness, emotional functioning, behavior, or other areas of development.
The purpose of an assessment is to better understand an individual’s cognitive, emotional, behavioral, developmental, and learning profile and to provide recommendations based on the findings.
About Psychological Assessments
A psychological assessment may include interviews, standardized testing, questionnaires, review of relevant records, and information from parents, caregivers, teachers, or other professionals when appropriate.
Assessments can help identify strengths, areas of difficulty, diagnoses when applicable, and supports that may be useful at home, school, work, or in treatment.
Results and recommendations may be used to:
- Support requests for accommodations in educational or workplace settings
- Inform treatment planning and other clinical services
- Identify learning, communication, behavioral, or emotional support needs
- Provide recommendations for home, school, work, or community settings
