Skyler is currently an LPC- Associate at Spectrum. Before beginning graduate school, Skyler worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing early intervention through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, which sparked her passion for working in the mental health field. This experience led her to pursue a career in counseling, dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse mental health needs.
Skyler’s clinical field experience began at the St. Edward’s Community Counseling Clinic, where she worked directly with clients from a variety of backgrounds. Additionally, she interned with Communities in Schools of Central Texas, where she provided social services, community resources, and counseling support to high school students facing various challenges. These experiences allowed Skyler to deepen her understanding of the mental health struggles unique to youth and families.
Skyler is committed to fostering a warm, accepting, and safe environment for all clients, where they feel heard, supported, and empowered. She believes in creating an atmosphere that encourages personal growth and authenticity through a person-centered approach, utilizes framework from ACT and CBT lenses to help clients build emotional resilience, develop coping skills, and lead fulfilling lives. Skyler strives to walk alongside clients as they navigate their individual journeys, offering empathy, understanding, and non-judgmental support at every step.
